WASHINGTON, September 30, 2026 — The seven Independent candidates who make up the 2026 Independents Win PAC slate appeared together publicly for the first time last week at the Independent National Convention in Washington, five weeks before Election Day. No group of Independent candidates for federal office this large has ever shared a stage.

The candidates are Dan Osborn, running for U.S. Senate in Nebraska; Seth Bodnar, running for U.S. Senate in Montana; Todd Achilles, running for U.S. Senate in Idaho; Brian Bengs, running for U.S. Senate in South Dakota; Bill Hill, running for Alaska's at-large House seat; Sarah Zabel, running in Idaho's First Congressional District; and Kevin Kiley, running in California's Sixth Congressional District.

Six spoke from the stage in Washington. Kiley appeared by video from California.

The slate is made up of men and women, former Republicans, former Democrats and lifelong Independents. Some are running against a Republican. Some against a Democrat. Some against both.

Hundreds of people filled the room for two hours on Thursday, September 24, at the JW Marriott in Washington. The Independent National Convention ran September 23 through 25 and was produced by United Independents. More than $50,000 was raised for these Independent candidates in the room that night.

"The goal was never to be the biggest number in a poll. It is to be a bloc that has to be counted when the decisions get made. The time for Republicans and Democrats being the only people in the room is over," said Ryan Rabah, Esq., co-founder and executive director of Independents Win PAC.

Independents Win PAC identified more than 200 Independent candidates running for federal office this year across more than 150 races, most of them without national support of any kind. The PAC contributes directly to candidates, puts them in front of a national audience, and connects them to a donor network built for Independents.

Selection took months. The PAC reviewed thousands of data points on the candidates, their districts and their states before choosing these seven.

"The most important part of the process was not the data," Rabah said. "It was what we call the three C's. Will they follow the Constitution. Will they listen to their Constituents. And will they follow their Conscience."

The strategy of Independents Win PAC is to help form a fulcrum caucus in Congress, a bloc of Independent members large enough that neither party can govern around it. Seven seats this November is where that begins.
